Thank you for dropping by and checking out the DD Mini Farm Stallions.  We offer a variety of colors and heights to choose from, and all our stallions have great dispositions, even allowing children to handle them when mares are absent.

Here at DD Mini Farm, Mares are hand-bred or put in a private paddock with the stallion for a designated period.

We offer breeding services for outside mares here at DD Mini Farm.  Breeding fees vary depending on whether your mare has a foal on her side or not.  If you wish to breed one of our stallions, please get in touch with us to discuss your horse and her specific needs.

All stud fees include one month’s board.  If your mare is wet (with a foal on the side), an additional cost will be due to cover the extra grain required to feed her and the baby.  Each month after the first, the price is $150 for pasture or $350 for stall board.

We will gladly ship Semen through Tennessee Equine Hospital to you if you are in another area of the United States.  You will need to pay any fees associated with this to the Tennessee Equine Hospital.  Once you create your account, please have your vet notify the hospital and pay the fees required. I will work with my veterinarians to arrange for the stallion to be collected and shipped.

DDMinis KSB Peppys Powerful Thunder

Thunder was on the show circuit and shown by Laura Tennill in the summer of 2019. He placed 6th in the 28″ to 30″ stallions at AMHA Worlds and 4th at AMHR Nationals.  He currently has three foals on the ground.

We purchased his Dam at an auction when he was about a week old. When he was 17 days old and on the trailer on the way to TN, the transporter stopped at a vet clinic for another horse, and the vet saw his eyes and suggested that both be removed. I declined and, with the care of my vets and four long months around the clock, we healed his eyes.

DDMinis Majics Music Man

M&M is a celebrated miniature stallion whose accomplishments speak for themselves. In 2018, he earned the titles of Reserve National Champion and Reserve World Champion, solidifying his place among the elite in the miniature horse show circuit. The following year, he continued to shine, placing 8th out of 44 entries in the Youth Hunter division, a testament to his athleticism, presence, and versatility.

As a breeding stallion, M&M is managed with care and responsibility. He carries one copy of the D2 dwarfism gene, so all mares must be tested for dwarf genetics prior to breeding. When paired with mares free of dwarf alleles, M&M does not produce dwarf foals. His colorful offspring and proven performance make him a valuable contributor to the future of miniature horse excellence.

DDMinis Rowdys Velvet Diablo

Jim is a striking miniature stallion whose presence carries both legacy and heart. Born the same year DaNel lost her stepfather, Jim quickly became more than just a promising colt—he became a symbol of continuity and quiet comfort. Though plans to show him at age three were delayed due to illness and global shutdowns, Jim’s time in the spotlight is still ahead. With renewed health and a supportive circle of friends, he’s expected to enter the show ring in 2026.

Genetically, Jim is a treasure. He is a direct grandson of Rowdy, one of the most iconic sires in miniature horse history, and a great-grandson of Little Kings Black Velvet, known for refinement and elegance. Jim’s conformation reflects his lineage—balanced, expressive, and ideal for enhancing mares through breeding.

Lil Hoofbeats REFs Ghost Encounter

Ghost is a spirited and joyful miniature stallion who brings smiles wherever he goes. His playful nature and striking appearance make him a favorite on the farm and a standout in the ring. Though he wasn’t shown at the National or World level, he competed in 2010 and 2011 with grace and enthusiasm, leaving a lasting impression.

Genetically, Ghost is a powerhouse. He is LWO+, so all mares must be tested and confirmed LWO- before breeding to ensure safe pairings. He is homozygous for Black, Splash, and Dun, carrying the nd1 allele known for primitive markings like dorsal stripes and leg barring. His foals often inherit his vivid coloring and lively disposition, making him a treasured sire for breeders who value both beauty and temperament.

Double K’s Maddox the Kid

Maddox first arrived at the farm as a boarded horse, a solid black three-year-old with a calm demeanor and a kind eye. Over the years, his coat has gracefully lightened to a soft grey, but his sweet disposition has remained unchanged. After spending time out on lease, Maddox is now back home, where plans are underway to teach him to drive.

What sets Maddox apart is his rare triple registration: he holds papers with both major miniature horse registries as well as the Shetland pony registry. His bloodlines are distinct from any other horse on the property, adding genetic diversity and historical depth to the herd. Maddox is more than pedigreed—he’s a gentle presence, a quiet contributor, and a reminder that some horses enrich a farm simply by being part of it.
